The premiere was performed by the Italian clarinet player Davide Bandieri the 9th of August 2006 in the concert festival "Estate Musicale di Gressoney". Italy. This piece is dedicated to my dear friend and extraordinary to my dear friend and clarinet virtuoso Davide Bandieri. It starts from a short motive cell which evolves and develops progressively within the fantasy. The contraposition of sections of an extraordinary virtuosity and long expressive lines establish the principle of contrast which is the structural-formal and musical axis of the piece. Its title, "Tentative wings", keeps a close relationship with the almost descriptive expressive-musical drama of the piece. It is almost a reference to the flight of birds, the flight of imagination. It is to reach the meeting of a technical-expressive language with no limits.

Dit stuk is opgedragen aan mijn dierbare vriend en buitengewone aan mijn lieve vriend en klarinet virtuoos Davide Bandieri. Het gaat uit van een kort motief cel die evolueert en ontwikkelt geleidelijk in de fantasie. De tegenstelling tussen delen van een buitengewone virtuositeit en lange expressieve lijnen stellen het beginsel van het contrast dat de structurele-formele en muzikale as van het stuk. De titel, "Voorlopig vleugels", houdt een nauwe relatie met de bijna beschrijvende expressieve-muzikale drama van het stuk. Het is bijna een verwijzing naar de vlucht van vogels, de vlucht van de verbeelding. Het is aan de vergadering van een technisch-expressieve taal zonder grenzen bereiken.
