Although my collecting interest lies mainly in pianists of the early twentieth century, I also enjoy the old ""dance band"" records by such groups as the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. who first performed and recorded âœRhapsody in Blueâ with George Gershwin. and The Great White Way Orchestra. This piece is written in the style of these dance bands, in a âœfox trotâ syncopated style.
