This work, composed in 2009, is based on melodies originally conceived as lullabies for Brittan’s son. The piece evolved into a setting of four “moods” represented by the Moon. La Lune. , the Sea. La Mer. , the Sun. Le Soleil. and the Night. La Nuit. These moods are brought to life through the unique texture and harmonic conception of each movement. Landscapes has been performed by a number of artists and was recorded by Duo Avanzando in their 2012 CD “Projecting Back” which received critical acclaim.
