The antiphon is built with two-measure statements of the Ubi Caritas chant, each imitated by the next voice at a whole step higher. A stunning effect to be sure. The verses are presented in English with phrases alternating between unison and four-part texture. An effective presentation of this beloved text, and an extraordinary sound for men's choir.
