This curious composition in five time which explores some of the ideas of canon or fugal writing was originally written as a response to a challenge in the online group "La Musique Petite" back in the late 1990s. I have since tidied it up and made it into a quirky journey in five time. hence "Quintaquirk". The harpsichord part can be played by an electronic keyboard. The following, even more curious, poem of mine illustrates some of the ideas. Along the road to QuintaquirkA man approached me with a smirk,"Beware, oh friend, the things that lurkJust down that road to Quintaquirk.
