This well-known work of Gluck was originally scored for strings and pairs of oboes, bassoons, horns, and three trombones. The wind lines have been artfully absorbed into the string parts of this arrangement with the original character of the work fully maintained. The bass part. which, originally, doubled the cello line. included has been rhythmically simplified while preserving the shifts necessary to the good development of players.

Dit bekende werk van Gluck werd oorspronkelijk gescoord voor strijkers en paren van hobo's, fagotten, hoorns, en drie trombones. De baspartij. die, oorspronkelijk, verdubbelde de cello lijn. inbegrepen is ritmisch vereenvoudigd zonder de verschuivingen nodig om de goede ontwikkeling van de spelers.
