This work was commissioned by Riga Youth Choir, who gavethe first performance in Riga on 3rd July 2008. Based on a poem by Frithjof Schuon. The composer writes Frithjof Schuon's poem The Eternal Sun speaks of our earthly sun as a reflection of the Divine Sun which no earthly eye can see, and the music reflects this in its mirror images. The opening music for the main choir should glow with magnificence and splendour, representing the unattainability of the Heavenly Sun, but the later passages, especially the music for the distant semi-chorus, should be more nostalgic and haunting.

Dit werk werd in opdracht van Riga Youth Choir, die voor het eerst de prestaties gavethe in Riga op 3 juli 2008. Gebaseerd op een gedicht van Frithjof Schuon. De componist schrijft gedicht Frithjof Schuon's De Eeuwige Zon spreekt van ons aardse zon als een weerspiegeling van de goddelijke Zon die geen aardse oog kan zien, en de muziek weerspiegelt deze in zijn spiegelbeelden. De opening van muziek voor de belangrijkste koor moet gloeien met pracht en praal, die de onbereikbaarheid van de Hemelse Zon, maar de latere passages, vooral de muziek voor de verre semi-chorus, moet meer nostalgische en beklijvende zijn.
