Bachianas Brasileiras or Brazilian Pieces In The Manner Of Bach is a collection of nine pieces, of which this is the fifth. This piece is easily the most popular piece of the set, and was originally scored for Soprano Voice and eight Cellos. This arrangement retains the emotion and simplicity of the original whilst utilising the full expressive resources of the String Ensemble. Scored for 3 1st Violins, 2 2nd Violins, 2 Violas, 2 Cellos, 2 Bass and 1 optional Spanish Guitar by John Krance.
