Extra Information The metres are given in the index above for those wishing to use the Parker Psalter as intended, and fit other psalms and further verses to the tunes. In some instances, such as Psalm 42, Parker made his verse flexible by adding parentheses - thus, the LM (8888) text can be changed to either CM (8686) or SM (6686) by the removal of text in parentheses, as indeed is required for Tallis's tune.
