Published by Regena Shirley & Grace Diley (A0.923582).This teacher/student piano duet, is a mixed meter adventure. Consisting of 6/8, 12/8, 4/4, and various tempo changes. Composed by 10 year old student, Grace Diley and teacher, Regena Shirley, who utilize full range of the keyboard, dynamics, and articulation. Movement 1, "Sea Treasure", begins at the discovery of a treasure map. After a long and tedious search, they discover a treasure box that opens to reveal a beautiful pearl of wisdom, which leads to treasures throughout the world! Movement 2, "Lost Treasure", begins with the pearl safely nestled under the pillow of a sleepy pirate. The enemy pirates have the audacity to sneak onto the ship and steal the pearl. As the good pirates begin to wake up and notice the pearl is missing, we are led into movement 3, "The Battle. Cannons booming, swords slashing, and spirits lifting (optional "oos" for both pianists to sing)... how does this adventure end? The full duration is 5 1/2 minutes, but can be performed as individual pieces. The teacher will have just as much fun as the student!
