SKU: A0.821191

Composed by Gordon Thornett. Christian. Octavo. 36 pages. Gordon John Thornett #2024863. Published by Gordon John Thornett (A0.821191).

This joyful setting of 'Gloria in excelsis Deo' (Glory be to God on high) is for Chorus (SATB, with some subdivisions), Soprano soloist, brass ensemble, timps. and organ. It is mainly in seven-eight time, including a fugal section towards the end of the piece. It also contains some more reflective, meditative passages in the middle, incorporating the soprano soloist. The performance time is a little over 8 minutes. As this piece is yet to be premiered, the sound file is a virtual rendition. A piano reduction of the accompaniment is also available.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
