Alright guys! I promised a Thing That Should Not Be tab, so here it is!
Alright for starters,the tab is in Drop D (DADGBE). But if you wish to go down further
D standard tuning. Move the tab i have = up two frets.
 Here we go , The song in its entirety. I've spend hours trying to perfect this tab, so
has my hard work, pain, and sweat put into it.

One of the biggest mistakes among tabber is the pinch harmonics. They're all over the
in the outro. They get deeper and harder and the song fades out. The best sounding thing
do is simple : pinch harmonics harder as the song goes along. Use your thumb to hit the
after picking them to do these pinch harmonics. As the outro progresses do it harder.
biggest thing to do is to make sure you go from the first pickup closest to the 22nd
and slowly go to the right pickup (to the left if your lefthanded).

Guys, this song is not played in drop d. It is a standard tuning. correction. @ 1 min 31 secsobserve.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5----5----------------1-----1----------------2-----2----------------5----5----------------1-----1----------------2-----2--5--p.m twice----5-----3--P.m twice-----3-----4--p.m twice-----4-----7--p.m twice----7-----1--P.m twice-----1-----2--p.m twice-----2---The P.M might be 3x.. make it fit.. so she said to me one dark and stormy night.. Figure the rest out.. you guys probably play better than me but I got a great ear. Listen very closely to the intro when he is playing it clean.. When he plays it, play a D note on your guitar anywhere on the neck and it will not fit because its not there in the song. play your open E and it will fit like a glove.

Hunter o f the shadows is rising... immortal part is different. There are octaves not powerchords on A A# etc., and the other part (the one repeated all the time at the end of the song): a-5-5-5-5-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-5-5-(6) e-5-6-5-6-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-5-6-(6) I think that the first one is powerchord, but the second one is not pure powerchord (you gotta admit, it sounds more "raw" than powerchord), but the fret on A string is 1 less than it would be as a power chord, so with this drop tuning its as above)

and dunno if there are pinch harmonics at the end, but I'd say its phaser with high resonance.
